A Senior Lecturer in Marketing is sought for the Department of Management within the School of Business, Economics and Informatics. The School brings together the College’s business-facing departments and has expanded student numbers by over 70 per cent since its founding in 2009. The Department of Management, one of four departments within the School, is the largest department in the College, with around 1,650 students and over 50 staff members. It has a strong research reputation in a number of areas, including international business, innovation management and entrepreneurship, human resource management, corporate governance, sport management, accounting and finance, and marketing.

The Department has a strong portfolio of marketing programmes, including our BSc Marketing and our suite of MSc programmes. We are looking for applicants to lead the Marketing group within the department and be responsible for developing our educational offer. Alongside this, they will support colleagues in enhancing the research within the group. We therefore particularly encourage applications from prospective colleagues seeking a first class environment to enhance their career and strengthen their academic leadership credentials.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Marketing and should be able to demonstrate significant research achievements and teaching record commensurate with their career stage. They should also be able to outline clear plans for future research, teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience levels. They would need to demonstrate previous experience in a leadership role or be able to demonstrate the willingness and ability to take on this role and work with the Head of Department.

Salary: Grade 9 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £54,268 rising to £60,600 per annum.

This post is full time, 35 hours per week and open-ended. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 3 years.
