A Lecturer in Management is sought for the Department of Management within the School of Business, Economics and Informatics. The School brings together the College’s business-facing departments and has expanded student numbers by over 70 per cent since its founding in 2009. The Department of Management, one of four departments within the School, is the largest department in the College, with around 1,650 students and over 50 staff members. It has a strong research reputation in a number of areas, including international business, innovation management and entrepreneurship, human resource management, corporate governance, sport management, accounting and finance, and marketing.

The Department has a wide range of undergraduate programmes including our successful BSc Business and BA Management, while at postgraduate level we offer an MSc Management and a range of more specialist programmes. We are affiliated with professional accreditation bodes including the Chartered Management Institute. The Department is looking to add to its talented academics and encourages applications from prospective colleagues seeking a first class environment to enhance their career.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Management, or be very close to completing one, and should be able to demonstrate significant research achievements and teaching record commensurate with their career stage. They should also be able to outline clear plans for future research, teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience levels. Applications are particularly welcome from specialists in research philosophy and organisational theory. 

Salary: Grade 7/8 of the College's London Pay Scale which is Lecturer A (Grade 7) - £37,169 rising to £42,483 per annum or Lecturer B (Grade 8) - £43,642 rising to £51,372 per annum.  

This post is full time, 35 hours per week and open-ended. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 3 years.
