The University of Manchester is seeking to recruit a psychological therapist to work as part of a busy team of experienced counsellors and mental health professionals providing a service to the University of Manchester staff and students.
You will be a counsellor trained to at least diploma level, or Low Intensity or High Intensity IAPT worker, with significant post qualifying experience and a minimum of 1500 post qualifying clinical hours. You will have substantial experience of carrying a caseload of 6 or more clinical contacts per day, working actively within a brief model. You will have up-to-date knowledge of current issues in mental health, wellbeing and psychological treatments and have worked within a formal mental health or psychological therapy service, with experience of working under pressure and with high levels of demand. You will have significant training and experience in assessment, formulation and structured interventions and be able to identify significant mental health difficulties and undertake thorough risk assessments.
