Employability and Placement Adviser
The Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Computing (EEC) is responsible for a considerable number of students across a diverse range of courses. EEC Futures is a specialist unit supporting and developing the Faculty's activities around employability and work placements for its students. Approximately 350 students from the Faculty undertake a sandwich placement each year in an area related to their degree course.
The post holder will work closely with one of the Schools in the Faculty (Computing, Electronics and Mathematics in the first instance) to advise on and assist in the delivery of employability related material in the curriculum. They will promote the benefits of a work placement to students and will use a variety of tools to help students maximise their chances of achieving a placement.
The successful candidate will have relevant professional experience for example in commercial recruitment or providing careers / employability advice to students. They will relish the chance to join a close-knit and highly effective team. They will be dedicated to providing outstanding support to students.
