Programs and Pathways Manager
The newly established role of Manager, Programs and Pathways will work closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Programs and Pathways) and key stakeholders within and outside of the portfolio, to identify and develop strategies aimed at the successful implementation of programs that support the development of curriculum architecture, new admission pathways, student retention and employability. The role will also have significant operational responsibility, working closely with the Executive Manager and Finance Manager to set and manage budgets and to ensure effective and appropriate use of funds across the portfolio. This role will require you to build and manage relationships with a wide range of institutional stakeholders at all levels.
The successful candidate will be an experienced business or program manager who has a strong track record of managing resources and budgets to meet strategic objectives, assess performance and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of business units. You will be comfortable analysing and evaluating data from a range of sources and using this information to make business recommendations. You will also be an exceptional communicator who is quick to establish rapport and build positive working relationships.
The portfolio of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Programs and Pathways) is responsible for developing and driving Macquarie University’s strategy for building and enhancing entry and progression pathways and lead the ongoing improvement of academic offerings at the University. This portfolio works closely and collaboratively with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching), Executive Director, Student Experience and Registrar, and other relevant senior stakeholders and leaders from across the University to ensure alignment with the University’s learning and teaching and governance frameworks, whilst remaining responsive to emerging student demand.

- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in business, management or related discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in providing significant input to strategic and operational planning, particularly in an higher education setting
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, prepare and manage budgets
- Demonstrated record of building, managing and influencing positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and evaluate data to inform decision making
- Demonstrated skill and experience in communicating complex information to a range of audiences and senior management;
- Demonstrated project management experience, with ability to manage multiple projects with diverse stakeholders

Salary Package: $117,304 to $123,892 p.a. (Level 9), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
