The Faculty of Health was established in 2017 to support Victoria University's vision of Improving Health and Wellbeing in our Communities. The new Bachelor of Health launched in Trimester 1, 2018, with major subjects in Population Health, Policy and Service Delivery, Health Psychology, Health Informatics, Health Software Development and Health Promotion. Complementary postgraduate programmes are currently under development in the Faculty to commence in 2019.

This inaugural appointment provides a unique opportunity within the School of Health to play an active role in the development and teaching of health psychology and health promotion in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Applicants should be active researchers and enthusiastic teachers with a record of peer reviewed journal publications commensurate with the level of appointment. They will be expected to teach both health psychology and health promotion topics in the health and wellbeing courses, including undertaking course coordination, in ways that enhance collaboration with other Schools and Faculties within the university.

Applicants will also contribute to the university's engagement with stakeholders, including with government, district health boards and partners relevant to our capital city location.
