Research Assistant in Radio Resource Management for Wireless Communications
You are invited to apply for a Research Assistant position (fixed term until 31st May 2019) within the Department of Computer Science at Liverpool John Moores University. You will work on a research and development project in the area of Mobile and Wireless Communications, with a focus on 5G networks and Internet of Things communications. As a member of the project, you would be expected to work closely with a number of academic and industrial partners.
The project aims to deploy and test a 5G network in order to demonstrate the impact 5G technologies will have in providing better digital Health and Social Care services in deprived digitally excluded communities.
You will be expected to have a background of research in mobile and wireless communications or related areas, and ideally have – or be nearing completion of – a PhD in a relevant subject. You must also have experience of network simulation and modelling. Experience in a suitable programming language (C/C++, Java, .Net family, etc.) would be an advantage. Good analytical research and communication skills are essential.
