Applications are invited for a 0.6 Lecturer in Journalism/Sports Journalism to contribute to teaching, academic development, course management, research, development and scholarship in the area of journalism and sports journalism.

Our graduates work for organisations such as the BBC, Sky, national newspapers, magazines, media and corporate communications and for a range of new digital media companies.

The successful applicant will have industry experience of working as a senior journalist/sports journalist and will be able to teach across a range of modules required by the journalism industry accreditation bodies.

Experience of teaching in higher educations is desirable, in particular experience teaching on modules relevant to the requirements of the accreditation bodies. The successful applicant will also have a flexible, innovative and organised approach to teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will hold a first degree or have equivalent professional qualification. Ideally, the successful candidate with either have a formal teaching qualification or be a Registered Practitioner of Higher Education Academy or willingness to work towards this.
