This post is full time and fixed term for 18 months.
Event Durham is the University’s Conference and Tourism team, responsible for delivering a wide range of services, including but not limited to: residential conferences, conference and meetings, weddings, B&B accommodation, etc.
The purpose of this role is to maximise revenue through increased bookings across all colleges. The post-holder will provide an efficient and effective process to quickly handle customer enquiries within pre-defined parameters and will communicate booking information to the Customer Relations Agent/Operations department within the Colleges.
The post-holder will also effectively present and sell all conference and banqueting products which meet customer needs.
The working week will be five days out of seven, primarily Monday to Friday, but will include evening and weekend, as business demands.
