Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 201800986) (to commence as soon as possible, initially for 6-12 months)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or preferably a Master's degree in Health Sciences, Education, IT, psychology or other related discipline. They should have good organizational skills; be fluent in spoken and written Chinese; be experienced in qualitative methodology; and be proficient in academic writing of English. Those who have a track record in qualitative research with experience in interview and script analysis or with a background in health sciences would have an advantage.

The appointee will participate in a qualitative research project for patients diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The project's aim is to investigate patient's need/concern about such condition. He/She will assist a team to conduct interviews with healthcare professions and patients; analyze the scripts of the interviews; work with a professional team on video production and administer questionnaire to patients to evaluate the efficiency of these videos; input and analyze the data collected as well as conduct thematic analysis of transcribed data which are in Chinese.
