Senior Technical Assistant/Technical Officer
Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer in the Department of Earth Sciences (Ref.: 201801000) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience. They should have experience in either material testing and engineering-related laboratory or field-testing, and/or supervision on construction sites. Possession of a valid driving license would be an advantage. Applicants should also have a good command of spoken and written English, basic computer skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently and effectively under pressure, and be hard working. The appointee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of research and teaching equipment, conducting field research with research staff and students in Hong Kong and in Mainland China occasionally.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
