Lecturer in Quantity Surveying
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic research-led individual who will make a significant contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in construction programmes. Initially teaching will be in the related areas of construction contract management/administration, construction quantification and costing.
Appointees will be expected and encouraged to develop research programmes complementary to the School’s existing work in this area, which currently include, but are not restricted to: the use of whole life management, commercial management and BIM.
A PhD in a related subject is essential, along with experience of publishing research outcomes. Relevant industrial experience and membership of RICS would be advantageous.
The minimum period for which initial appointments are made is normally five years. However, the normal expectation is that Lecturers will transfer to a continuing appointment during this period on demonstrating acceptable performance in their research, teaching and other duties.
