The School of Literature and Languages offers a people-focused, multicultural and rewarding environment in which to work. By joining us, you will be using your technical and interpersonal skills to support our students and academics.
This 0.8 post provides day-to-day support in the running of our multimedia teaching and learning facilities. This will involve providing technicalsupport and advice to staff and student users of our equipment, software, digital language laboratories and interpreting laboratories.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will enjoy working with students and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds. Technical aptitude is essential, as is experience of working with digital media, computers and audio-visual equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that the school is compliant with electrical safety regulations for portable equipment (PAT) and therefore a qualification in PAT Testing or relevant experience would be desirable. You should also be a proficient user of Microsoft Office.
This varied post will offer you the opportunity to enhance your technical skills and learn more about a variety of software and hardware. You will receive a generous annual leave entitlement and excellent development opportunities.
