We seek a Linux Systems Administrator to work within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. The role offers an opportunity to develop your IT career within a complex and dynamic scientific computing environment, which increasingly relies on large scale compute and supporting services for their research. You will be part of a close-knit and enthusiastic team, and one which has embraced the Infrastructure as Code approach to systems automation. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of predominately Linux based systems, including: directory services, web, large-scale storage, chef, HTCondor and general IT infrastructure components playing an active role in their provisioning, configuration, security, and on-going operation. Some experience of managing Linux systems is essential, whilst experience with one of chef or puppet would be an advantage.
