Language Tutor, French
The University of Bristol’s School of Modern Languages is seeking to recruit for the 2018-19 academic year qualified and experienced language teachers in the French language.
We welcome applications from candidates who are enthusiastic and creative, have a proven track-record in language teaching in the higher education sector in the UK and a keen interest in language pedagogy. You should have a degree in languages, philology or linguistics and a teaching qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.

Hours of work are variable depending on student numbers but will typically involve 3-6 contact hours per week over two semesters (September 2018 to June 2019). Tutors will also need to be in the University on two separate days in each teaching week. The rate of pay is £14.99 per teaching hour plus one hour’s preparation per teaching hour at same rate (£14.99). Additional pay includes 12.07 % holiday pay against contract as a whole, payable monthly. Teachers will also be paid additional hours for related duties, e.g. attending standard meetings. Please note that travel expenses are not included.
