As a Senior Human Resources Advisor you will support the business at a time of change and hit the ground running, making a real impact on the business.
The Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate is a strategic partner providing professional long term guidance and support to meet the evolving people management needs of the University. We need to ensure that we are business focussed, flexible and delivering a quality proactive HR service.
Reporting to the HR Manager this role is responsible for the delivery of HR advice to the University's business units. You will provide consistent and pragmatic professional advice on the application of
- HR policies,
- disciplinary and grievance hearings,
- change processes.
You will also support managers in diagnosing and resolving casework issues offering appropriate professional support and advice, as well as being involved in policy development.
You will need to have substantial experience of advising managers on HR and people management issues. Relevant HR knowledge such as the application of HR policies and procedures, performance management and change management will be expected. You will have a sound knowledge of employment law coupled with experience of working with trade unions and/or employee representatives.
