As a Human Resources Advisor you will support the business at a time of change and hit the ground running, making a real impact on the business.

The Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate is a strategic partner providing professional long term guidance and support to meet the evolving people management needs of the University. We need to ensure that we are business focussed, flexible and delivering a quality proactive HR service.

Reporting to the HR Manager you will have responsibility for the delivery of HR advice to the University's business units. You will provide consistent and pragmatic professional advice on the application of

  • HR policies,
  • investigations,
  • disciplinary and grievance hearings,

You will also support managers in diagnosing and resolving casework issues offering appropriate professional support and advice and provide support to change processes.

You will need to have experience of advising managers on HR issues such as people management issues and employee relations. Relevant HR knowledge such as the application of HR policies and procedures, performance management and change management will be expected. You will have a good knowledge of employment law and take a lead for one or more HR processes including the collation and management of HR data to support the wider HR team.
