Are you an experienced educational technologist who excels at working collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop intellectually rigorous, engaging and innovative online learning experiences?

The University of Oxford’s Department for Continuing Education provides part-time learning opportunities to thousands of adult learners each year. We are currently seeking an experienced senior online learning specialist with outstanding skills and experience to join our Technology-Assisted Lifelong Learning (TALL) unit. This is a rare opportunity both to shape elearning at a senior level and to be an active practitioner developing the next generation of online courses for lifelong learners.

Working in a collaborative and creative team environment, you will have a broad range of responsibilities for digital projects and team leadership, with a particular focus on leading on the pedagogical aspects of online initiatives. As an experienced educational technologist you will also contribute to the team’s day-to-day course production work, working closely with leading academics and colleagues to design and produce innovative and engaging online content. You will also mentor and support the work of the other learning technologists in the team.

The successful candidate will have significant professional experience designing and advocating for online learning at a senior level. You will have extensive understanding of a wide range of online tools and be able to select and configure them to deliver highly accessible and engaging online learning. You will have deep knowledge of the theories and pedagogies of digital learning and be skilled at working collaboratively with talented subject matter experts to inspire and get the best from them. Most importantly, you will thrive in a busy customer-focused team environment and be passionate about education and the opportunities online learning can offer adult learners.
