Apply your extensive Change Management experience and play a pivotal role in the implementation and communication of change initiatives across the University.

The Charles Darwin University’s Operations Division supports the Faculty of Vocational Education and Training, Colleges of Higher Education, and Divisions of the Vice Chancellery to deliver their objectives through the provision of quality professional services in the areas of People & Capability, Planning, Marketing, ITMS, and Infrastructure and supports strategic initiatives to recognize the aspirations of the University’s Strategic Plan.

As the Change Management and Communications Officer (CMCO) you report directly to the Director People and Capability and play a key role in ensuring the University’s People & Capability projects (change initiatives) are delivered on time / budget and within scope. Your primary responsibility will be to create and implement change management and internal communication strategies to maximise stakeholder engagement, employee adoption and usage, minimise resistance and improve utilisation. 

In addition, you will develop and maintain Change Management work schedules and communication plans and provide strategic support and advice to stakeholders to ensuring all initiatives are aligned with the strategic plan.

To be successful you require relevant experience equivalent to a postgraduate qualification in Change Management, Internal Communications and/or extensive relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge of change principles (Prosci  ADKAR or Kotter) and success in planning and executing organisational change, communications programs is essential. As is the ability to think strategically and tactically, translate complexity to simplicity and apply problem solving to develop practical business solutions
