About the job
This role is a great opportunity for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join the Swinburne Student Life team and be the first point of contact for all enquiries from students, staff and other stakeholders including face-to-face, phone, email and live chats. The Receptionist role will also be required to undertake various administration duties supporting Swinburne Student Life. In addition, the position will play an integral role in the delivery of quality customer service to students and provide effective resolution on the first interaction.
The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate strong customer service, knowledge and experience with the ability to make a valued contribution to the team within the respective service area. They will represent Swinburne Student Life and the University to industry, community and government.
The role will be responsible for:
- Providing advice, support, liaison and assistance to Swinburne University, students and other stakeholders as necessary
- Delivering outstanding customer service to Swinburne University, students and stakeholders
- Conducting and administering all aspects and functions relating to Reception and Office Administration
- Contributing to the development of Work Instructions, Procedures and other technical documents as required
- Contributing to necessary meetings and required reporting
- Contributing to Swinburne Student Life’s projects relevant to the service area

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Completion of Year 12, with relevant work experience; or equivalent relevant experience or combination of relevant experience and education/training
- Demonstrated relevant experience in reception and administration
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
