Cranfield is a world-renowned, exclusively postgraduate University and we are seeking to appoint a talented Alumni Events and Volunteer Executive to join the team to support the delivery of alumni events and build the alumni volunteer programme. The Development and Alumni Relations team seeks to build lifelong relationships with Cranfield’s 60,000+ alumni across the world, providing services to encourage lifelong relationships between Cranfield and its graduates and increase support for Cranfield among the alumni community.

Role Description

Cranfield is a world-renowned, exclusively postgraduate University and we are seeking to appoint a talented Alumni Events and Volunteer Executive to join the team to support the delivery of alumni events and build the alumni volunteer programme. The Development and Alumni Relations team seeks to build lifelong relationships with Cranfield’s 60,000+ alumni across the world, providing services to encourage lifelong relationships between Cranfield and its graduates and increase support for Cranfield among the alumni community.

This is an important role within the Alumni Relations and Development professional service unit which works to build lifelong reciprocal relationships between alumni and the university. It works to provide services to support alumni in their careers after completing their course, whilst working to provide opportunities for alumni to impact the University through volunteering and philanthropic giving.

You will help deliver a programme of alumni events that builds and strengthens relationships with alumni.  Reporting to the Alumni Events and Volunteer Manager, you will support the management and delivery of alumni events ranging from alumni reunions, webinars and conferences – both on and off-campus. You will ensure events are delivered at a consistently high standard, commensurate with the expectations of alumni: your responsibilities will include the planning, management, promotion and evaluation of events.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have meticulous attention to detail and you will possess solid event management experience, be able prioritise a demanding workload to meet deadlines and deliver great customer service. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to form strong working relationships with a wide variety of people. You will be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
