Lecturer in Cyber Security
Full-time: 35 Hours per week

The School of Engineering and Computing at UWS is well established in addition to being an internationally recognised multidisciplinary academic centre. The School is seeking to grow its Cyber Security team through the full-time appointment of a Lecturer in the areas of Network Security and Digital Forensics. This is an exciting time to be joining the University as we launch our Cyber Security programmes at our new Lanarkshire campus. This offers an excellent opportunity for the right person to influence the direction of our cyber security education and research.
The successful candidate will deliver modern, high quality teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate provision in cyber security, as well as research/enterprise activities within the AVCN Research Centre, which is a Centre of Excellence.
Relevant research and/or industrial experience in one or more of the fields of cyber security, digital forensics and network / information security is an essential requirement for the post. Candidates with experience in developing GCHQ-accredited or other leading industrial certification programmes are particularly encouraged to apply.
The post will be based at our Lanarkshire Campus with some scheduled activities at our other campus locations, and will contribute to our international activity as required. The School’s research is organised into a close and sociable community of industry-focused inter-disciplinary research groups and the successful applicant should exhibit entrepreneurial flair and proactively collaborate to ensure future external income and enhance the impact of their research / commercial activities.
