Lecturer in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre
Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre, to commence on January 15, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Journalism, broadcasting or a related field; and at least three years of full-time experience in teaching professional courses on broadcast journalism, video news production and TV news writing at tertiary level, or a combination of three years of relevant teaching and working experience. Applicants with proven experience working as broadcaster, video/TV news editor/producer are preferred. The appointee will be responsible for teaching courses on broadcast journalism, video news production and TV news writing, and developing new courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
