Full-time/Half-time Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Nephrology of the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 201800971) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Biological Sciences or equivalent, with at least 1-2 years’ post-qualification laboratory experience, or a Ph.D. degree or equivalent. They should be sensible, mature, attentive to details, organized and able to multitask and work independently. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop protocols. Previous experience with microRNA work would be advantageous but not essential. The appointee will organize and coordinate laboratory studies, use laboratory skills such as DNA and RNA extraction, PCRs and ELISAs, and be responsible for blood samples processing and other laboratory research administration or organization activities.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
