Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Neuroscience in the Department of Psychology, to commence on July 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

The Department of Psychology was founded in 1968, was the first department of psychology in Hong Kong. The pioneer spirit continues to push the Department to strive for excellence and break new grounds. The Department is represented by 20 faculty members with different areas of expertise, including cognitive psychology, clinical psychology and neuropsychology, educational and developmental psychology, as well as personality and social psychology. In each area, faculty members apply scientific methods in laboratories or field settings. More Information about the Department can be obtained at http://www.psychology.hku.hk.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience or related fields. The appointee is expected to develop an excellent research programme, to excel in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research supervision and to participate in the administration of the department. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as annual leave and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
