Annual Giving Coordinator Annual Giving at Boston University is simple. Each year, alumni, students, parents, and friends choose to support everything from softballs to software at BU. These gifts are then deployed to fund research, provide emergency student assistance, pay for travel to academic conferences, and lots more throughout the year.

Job Scope

The Annual Giving Coordinator is a critical member of the BU Annual Giving team and provides administrative and executive support to the Annual Giving department, with priority to the Annual Fund Leadership Gifts team and senior leadership. Reporting to the Associate Director of Stewardship & Marketing, the Coordinator is responsible for development and production of a range of annual fund gift acknowledgments, as well as providing appropriate stewardship for annual giving donors, and will collaborate with key internal partners, like Stewardship & Donor Relations, Alumni Relations, Leadership Giving, School/College Development, Gifts & Records, and Advancement Services. S/he must be highly organized, have the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate timely follow-through, and operate with the utmost discretion in handling confidential information. The Coordinator will work closely with the Annual Giving Executive Director and Directors to prepare presentation materials, coordinate meetings, manage departmental calendars, and pull reports as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using fundraising database software is preferred. Experience with Blackbaud products and iModules a plus.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S., highly organized, have the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on issues in a timely manner, and operate with the utmost discretion in handling confidential information. One to three years of related experience.
