Upskilling Lancashire Project Manager
The UpSkilling Lancashire Project Manager will develop and implement the ESF UpSkilling Lancashire Project to promote improvements in the labour market relevance of skills provision, including apprenticeships, across Lancashire through active engagement with relevant institutions and employers, particularly SMEs and Micro businesses. The post-holder will oversee contractual delivery and compliance of the project, co-ordination and reporting, liaison with delivery partner project teams and project leads, and the development and management of project offers to meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses across Lancashire.
The UpSkilling Lancashire Project Manager will manage the development and delivery of the UpSkilling Lancashire project to drive the recruitment of Lancashire small and medium sized businesses to engage in the programme. The post-holder will represent the University on the UpSkilling Lancashire Project Group and manage the University's relationship with the delivery teams and partner organisations. The role will include the development and implementation of reporting and monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with ESF regulations and the appropriate line management of project staff.
Educated to degree level, applicants will need demonstrate relevant experience in a business development role and preferably knowledge and experience of EU-funded projects. Awareness of the skills needed within SME businesses to drive growth and innovation, along with excellent negotiating and project management skills are key requirements for the role.
