The University of Central Lancashire excels in the provision of healthcare programmes.  The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is part of the Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences which provides, amongst others, programmes in Pharmacy, Dentistry, Medicine,Healthcare Science, Biomedical Sciences and Medical Sciences.  The School is divided into four thematic areas: Pharmacy Practice; Pharmacology/Physiology; Chemistry/Pharmaceutics; and Biosciences. The University of Central Lancashire has an excellent reputation for the delivery of health-based courses and has expanded this provision within the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer who will be able to contribute to the biosciences aspects, specifically physiology, of the Biomedical Sciences undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the School.The successful candidate will be expected to deliver teaching in physiology as required on these programmes. Additionally, the Senior Lecturer position requires the proven ability to teach and supervise from Foundation Degree to PhD level. The Lecturer grade role requires experience of teaching a healthcare-related subject close to microbiology. A good honours degree and a PhD, in relevant areas are essential for both roles.
