We are seeking to recruit a Post-Doctoral Researcher to join a dynamic research team which is currently undertaking an exciting four-year, Irish Research Council (laureate) funded research programme focused on investigating the therapeutic efficacy and mechanisms of action of cellular therapy (mesenchymal stem cells) in severe asthma. The research programme is led by Dr. Karen English (Lecturer, Institute of Immunology and Department of Biology) and involves collaborators from Kings College London, Trinity College Dublin and Consultant Respiratory Physicians at Tallaght Hospital. Informal enquiries about the post can be made by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
The laboratory is interested in elucidating the mechanisms of action mediated by immune modulatory cellular therapies and the translation of these therapies for treatment of patients with inflammatory disorders, including severe asthma. The research will combine novel pre-clinical models of severe asthma with state of the art approaches in in vivo imaging, molecular biology, cell biology and flow cytometry. The successful candidate will play an important role in driving this research programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious postdoctoral researcher aiming to gain multidisciplinary experience in a dynamic and collegial team-based environment.
