About the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Business Improvement team to support change at Swinburne by enhancing business outcomes through the provision of quality and innovative Business Analysis (BA) services. In addition to providing BA delivery services, this position will support the uplift of Swinburne’s BA capability through the definition, construction and embedding of best practice BA processes, methods, tools and techniques.
The delivery aspect of the position is responsible for planning, managing, eliciting and defining requirements, from inception through to implementation, on a variety of projects across the University.
The BA is also responsible for collaborating with other project team members to support with development, testing, UAT, operational readiness, and post implementation support activities.
The capability aspect of the position involves working with the BA community (BA’s, projects and broader IT group) to continually assess, identify and fulfil BA capability needs; including the resulting provision of policy, procedure, process, methods and tools required to uplift BA practices.
In addition, this role may be called upon to support the broader team with BA resourcing and support, such as recruitment and selection, induction, BA coaching and support.
In return for your expertise and commitment to the role, you will be part of a growing and supportive team focused on your development and progression within Business Improvement and the wider Information Technology Services team.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Graduate qualifications and extensive BA experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training and certification E.g. CBAP, CBATL
- Thorough understanding of BA methods and techniques, ideally relatable to common and best practice industry standards
- Extensive BA delivery experience in significant sized projects, with demonstrated responsibility for leading and driving the delivery of BA outcomes
- Experience with developing and implementing capability uplift into an organisation (i.e. through the uplift of process, standards, methods, guidelines & tools)
