Responsible to: Head of Financial Accounting
Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Grade: Band H
Starting salary: £32,548 per annum

This role represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to gain a wide and varied experience within the Universities Finance Department within the dynamic Higher Education sector.
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to act as the assistant to the Head of Financial Accounts for the University on financial accounting and tax matters.
The successful candidate will a qualified or part qualified Accountant with experience in preparing year-end statutory accounts and be comfortable liaising with external audit as part of the process.
The successful candidate will assist the Head of Financial Accounts in technical matters such as IFRS, Higher Education SORP, VAT and corporate taxation along with other projects when required and on an ad-hoc basis.
This role requires someone who is highly organised with attention to detail, pro-active, able to contribute to improving the quality of our reporting and works effectively with colleagues within finance and across the University.
