The School of Historical & Philosophical Inquiry is a dynamic team with a reputation for innovative approaches to teaching and research excellence. Our disciplinary groupings of Classics and Ancient History, Studies in Religion, Philosophy and History are united by this common intellectual quest, and are mutually reinforced and supported by each discipline’s distinct approaches, perspectives, and methodologies. Through our research, teaching and engagement activities, we seek to further and disseminate knowledge about these aspects of humanity. In doing so, we serve our scholarly communities, our students, and our wider societies. The successful appointee will have access to start-up resources and some ongoing support, and will be encouraged to apply for his/her own research funding. There are opportunities to work with large population-based data sets and to be part of research teams, to address individually-developed and collaboratively-generated research questions, and to supervise honours, masters and doctoral students.
Applicants should possess qualifications in relevant disciplines. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in health behaviour, good general research skills, a strong methodological background, excellent statistical and analytic skills, very good writing abilities, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

This is a full-time, continuing at Academic level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,143 - $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $107,807 - $128,020 p.a.).
