About the role
- A$91K - $98K plus 9.5% Superannuation and annual leave loading
- Fixed term contract (12 months with possible extension for another year depending on performance)
- Full-time (35 hours per week)
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be involved in research in the cross disciplinary area of System Identification. In particular, the Postdoctoral Fellow will help develop statistical signal processing algorithms to extract information patterns from time series data occurring in networks in various applications. The research will involve theory, algorithm development (including large simulations) and analysis of real data.
About the successful applicant
To be successful in this role you will have completed or submitted a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science with specialisation in System identification or Statistical Signal Processing or Computational Physics or Machine Learning; good communication and written skills; ability to work in a team. Knowledge of: C programming, Linux, Matlab, R, Python; machine learning; sparsity methods.
The appointment (at UNSW) is initially for one year with an extension for up to a further year depending on progress.
