What you will achieve

Making a direct impact to the data scientists and statisticians of the future, you will teach at both the undergraduate and post graduate levels across all delivery modes. You will have the opportunity to be part of developing new undergraduate and postgraduate programs and curricula in data science as well as other mathematics majors or programs with a focus on industry engagement. As part of a world-leading University you will have the opportunity to develop research programs that will link to the industry and areas of research strength within JCU.

What you can bring

As an established statistics or data science academic, you hold a PhD and demonstrated capacity to teach into various programs through an array of delivery methods. Your demonstrated success or capacity to attract competitive research funding will ensure you thrive in this dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

Your established research and industry networks as well as your ability to build mutually beneficial working relationships with key stakeholders will assist us on our growth trajectory and add real value to commercial entities who access and rely upon the benefits of data science.
