The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. Comprised of five schools and a number of disciplines, research centres and institutes, the faculty is focused on education excellence and innovative research in the health sciences.
The faculty boasts one of the largest concentrations of leading researchers, academic teachers and clinical titleholders working across the areas of health.
The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) which sits within the School of Public Health, is a complex, international research and development agency with over 40 staff in its headquarters in Adelaide and more than 1500 researchers located in collaborating centres in UK, Europe, USA, Canada, the Middle East, Africa, South East Asia, New Zealand and Australia. With almost 80 Centres and groups, servicing over 90 countries, the Joanna Briggs Institute is a recognised global leader in evidence-based healthcare.
This role includes the research and development of evidence-based content for health care practitioners to inform policy and practice in accordance with the methods of JBI. This includes searching the international evidence, writing concise summaries for best practice, updating content and participating in JBI projects for Implementation Science.
Salary: (Level A) $67,894 - $91,425 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies.
Term of position: This fixed-term contract is available immediately until December 2019.
To be successful you should have:
- A Masters degree or equivalent in Health Sciences
- Demonstrated expertise in the systematic review of evidence
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Healthcare
- Evidence of research and/or other project management experience
- Ability to work as part of a leadership team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
