An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University’s Curation and Library team. The Research Coordinator supports University staff by:

  • administering the University’s open access repository (CREST Collections)
  • promoting and supporting open access publishing
  • running training workshops

The core duties of the role are to add digital content and metadata to repository systems, and undertaking copyright checking before making publications available in the University’s institutional repository. The role will be the first point of contact with customers, providing an enquiry service and referring on queries where necessary and will also provide general clerical support to the team.

To be successful in this role you will have substantial experience of working in a library, or a similar customer service environment, including experience of answering customer enquiries. You will need to be familiar with digital content such as e-books, e-journals, e-theses and research outputs, and experienced in using the web, and web-based data entry forms. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to make a positive contribution to a team working collaboratively with others. You must be numerate and confident in basic data analysis, and able to manage your workload to meet deadlines and performance standards without sacrificing accuracy.
