Working as part of the REDI Business Research Development team, the role will promote Western’s research and commercial consultancy activities, establishing external linkages, identifying partnership opportunities and matching appropriate resources to deliver on projects and initiatives. The REDI Business team performs critical project and relationship management functions, including leading negotiations with respect to project finances, intellectual property and other contractual matters. 

This role will be expected to offer best-practice support to internal and external stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. The role will provide a broad range of support for academic staff in health and medical related disciplines to partner with business, government and the community. The role’s portfolio will particularly include the NICM Health Research Institute, Translational Health Research Institute and School of Medicine. The role will require that strategic business development targets relevant to each group are identified and productive partnerships established.

Remuneration Package: Higher Education Worker Level 8 $113,906 to $126,449 p.a. (comprising Salary $96,252 to $106,851 p.a., plus Superannuation, plus Leave Loading)
