Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry
The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is at the forefront of higher education in a number of areas and is looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team, as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry.
You will have a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. Practical expertise in a range of modern analytical instrumentation techniques would be an advantage. You will have proven related independent research experience as well as a recent track record of publications in high quality journals. Ideally, you will have relevant ‘hands-on’ experience of Analytical Chemistry related to either Pharmaceutical, Phytochemical or Forensic applications.
You will have relevant teaching experience and you will be expected to teach Analytical Chemistry on a range of UG and PG programmes including the BSc Chemistry, BSc Pharmaceutical Science, BSc Forensic Science and MSc Drug Design and Discovery.
You will complement existing research/teaching activities in the above areas and contribute to the ongoing development of new and existing UG and PG programmes in relevant areas.
You will be expected to develop your own research in relevant areas within Analytical Chemistry, in conjunction with other members of the school, utilising the newly refurbished Chemistry Laboratory facilities as well as the newly built Life Science Building.
