Applications are invited for appointment as Programmee Director (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I) in the Faculty of Business and Economics, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

To cope with its strategic development and expansion, the Faculty of Business and Economics is now seeking a high caliber candidate to support its taught postgraduate programmes, especially the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. 

Applicants should possess a good Master's degree or equivalent, preferably an MBA degree, with at least 12 years’ work experience, including experience in programme management and curriculum development, engagement with students and alumni, enrichment of students’ learning and so on.  They should be strong team builders and outcome-driven leaders, with good connections with the professional community and industry.  They should also be innovative and possess strategic thinking and effective organization skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.  Other expected attributes of applicants include: an outstanding command of written and spoken English and preferably Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese), a high level of computer proficiency, as well as sound interpersonal and communication skills.  A solid understanding of the higher education sector in business will definitely be an advantage. 

The appointee will play a key role in overseeing the administration and operation of the Faculty’s MBA programme, including both the full-time and part-time modes.  He/She will take the initiative to review, develop and implement plans to the MBA curriculum, and to design and execute curricular and co-curricular activities for MBA students, including exchanges, study trips, and any other projects.  He/She is expected to maintain positive rapport with the MBA students/alumni who are coming from diverse backgrounds.  He/She will work closely with colleagues of the Faculty’s Career Development and Training Team as well as the Marketing and Admissions Team on career coaching/treks/internships throughout the admission processes.  The appointee will station in the Faculty’s Cyberport Office, and may need occasional travelling and weekend work. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.  The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as annual leave, and medical benefits.
