Job description :
Coventry University is the UK's highest ranked modern University, a TEF gold-starred institution currently ranked 13th nationally in the Guardian and 27th in the Times. CU Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coventry University (formally known as Coventry University College Ltd), provides flexible, professional and 'price competitive' HE provision through innovative learning programmes, as a supplement to existing traditional Coventry University provision.
CU Group offers a range of academic awards around whole suites of professional qualifications, delivered through focussed high quality teaching. Operating across three distinct sites across the UK, we are able to offer a range of programmes that add an extra dimension to the local, regional and international higher education landscape, and have ambitious plans to grow our provision within the UK and overseas.
Each Campus is a commercially-focussed, sales driven operation that requires high quality management, capable of developing fledging operations and competing effectively in a crowded national or international market that has many established providers and an anticipated increasing entry of additional key competitors.
CU Scarborough opened in purpose built facilities in September 2016 providing high quality, student centric, career focused higher education on the Yorkshire Coast for the wider region.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor who shares our passion for our provision to lead, direct, develop and manage CU Scarborough as it continues to grow. The post-holder will ensure ambitious growth targets are met, draw on significant experience to ensure best practice in student experience through inspirational and innovative academic and operational leadership, to ensure that the competitive position is maximised. The right candidate will be a skilled leader with commercial and entrepreneurial drive, able to inspire and motivate others to achieve the strategic plans for CU Scarborough and the wider group.
This is an essential role in our journey as we grow, reporting to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and CEO CU Group (CUC Ltd), leading a team of academic and professional services managers.
