The Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor will contribute to research and teaching within a School environment and work with research teams/programs and partnerships in the School. The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor is required to undertake research activities in line with the University's research strategy that emphasises relevant and translational research.
The successful candidate will develop a successful new research group within the School's research Program in Chronic Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases, preferably in the study of viral pathogens of importance to human health.
Skills & Experience Required
You will have a prominent national research profile and to be considered for an Associate Professor level, will need to be able to demonstrate a strong international profile. You will have sustained success in attracting research grants in the study of viral infections of major importance to human health. In addition to your research expertise you will be accomplished and successful in delivering courses/subjects to students at all levels of the higher education journey. Experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates and success in research leadership will be essential to your success in this role.
