Administrative Coordinator, Hariri Institute
An incubator in an academic setting, located on the Charles River Campus of Boston University, the Hariri institute for Computing is a fast-paced environment where creativity, flexibility, and collaboration are essential. The Administrative Coordinator supports the administrative functions for the Hariri Institute for Computing and its federated areas. Essential functions include purchasing office supplies and equipment, processing invoices and shopping carts, managing student employees, providing events logistical support (room reservations and setup, ordering catering/ supplies) and travel expense/ reimbursement reports.
The Administrative Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for all phone inquiries to the office and is the meet and greet for the office suite. Additional responsibilities include maintaining PI CVs, current and pending support, and other documents for pre-award grant submissions. Under the supervision of the Assoc. Director for Finance and Administration, the Administrative Coordinator will track various data for annual reporting, including gathering data monthly about proposal submissions from Institute affiliates. Will serve as main point of contact for all facilities requests for the Institute.
Bachelors degree or 1-3 years relevant experience, strong attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple priorities, highly skilled in Microsoft excel, excellent interpersonal skills, professional manner and the ability to be flexible and work independently, and 1-3 years of related experience preferably in a university.
