Teaching Fellow in Chinese Archaeology
The Post is Full Time and Fixed Term for 10 months.
Applications are invited for a Teaching Fellow in Chinese Archaeology with a particular emphasis on material culture (e.g. Chinese trade ceramics, metallurgy, etc). This post offers an exciting opportunity to consolidate and expand our taught geographical coverage of Eurasian archaeology into East Asia, to complement our collaborative relationship with the Palace Museum in Beijing, and to strengthen Durham University’s expertise in Chinese Studies. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to team-taught modules on the archaeology of complex societies, trade and global networks, cultural heritage, artefact studies, practical archaeological skills as well as develop a special topic on an area of their own interest and expertise. They will report directly to the Head of Department.
