Postdoctoral Fellow in Learning Design and Learning Analytics
Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Learning Design and Learning Analytics in the Faculty of Education, to commence on August 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter until June 2020, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Education, Instructional Design or related fields, with specific focus on e-learning, e-learning pedagogy, learning technology design and/or teacher professional development for e-learning/e-assessment innovations. Demonstrated ability in academic writing, evaluation of educational innovation, and/or experience in research project management would be a clear advantage. The appointee will play a key role in the project “An Open Learning Design, Data Analytics and Visualization Framework for E-Learning”, which is an inter-institutional collaborative research project involving researchers from HKU, HKUST and MIT. He/She is expected to contribute to the development of learning and assessment design models and tools that guide and support e-learning course design and advanced planning of specific learning analytics and feedback. Courses on computational thinking (K-12 and higher education) will be a core focus for this research project. The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Nancy Law.
