Requirements

Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) aims to recruit an Associate Dean for Executive Education. Reporting directly to the Dean of GU-Q, the position will be responsible for leading all executive, professional and continuing education activities at GU-Q. 

The incumbent will conceptualize and implement strategies for successful delivery of degree and non-degree executive and professional education (EPE) programs, both on a local and regional level. The position’s focus will be to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with strategic partners in the Middle East Region as well as key stakeholders on the Main Campus. He/she will work closely with faculty and academic leaders in Doha and Washington, D.C. to support the design, development and delivery of executive and professional education programs and ensure excellence in their delivery. The position will co-chair the External Relations Committee, develop and implement EPE’s external engagement initiatives and serve as liaison and advisor for aspects of GU-DC and GU-Q strategic outreach and globalization strategy.  The position will be responsible for the review of potential academic opportunities in the region and for proactively seeking collaboration from other Education City Branch Campuses and HBKU to formulate joint strategies. In partnership with the CFO, he/she will oversee revenue generating agreements and the development of business and financial models for executive degree and non-degree programs. 

We seek applications from candidates with a Master’s Degree (preferably PhD) in business, management or other related fields, with at least 10 years of relevant professional and management experience. A proven track record of developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience coordinating non-degree or continuing education programs at an elite university a plus. Excellent working knowledge of the higher education industry, combined with the understanding of developing executive and professional education specifically in the Gulf region is necessary. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are of key importance in addition to excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills.
