Financial Aid Counselor, Enrollment, Financial Assistance
The Financial Aid counselor is an entry level position designed for someone with 1-2 years of professional experience in the financial aid field or a related field. This position will provide support and customer service to central aid office and graduate aid offices to help BU Financial Assistance achieve university goals for recruitment and retention. This position will perform loan certification and reconciliation for undergraduate and graduate student populations. This position will also represent the office to students and their families and assist with customer service inquiries over the phone and by e-mail related to the financial aid application process and other financial assistance and student loan related issues. The ideal candidate will possess: oStrong analytical skills oEffective problem solving and communication skills oAbility to work well in a fast-paced and team orientated environment and be available for occasional weekend assignments
Bachelor's degree and one to three years of experience in a service and detail oriented position, strong analytical and organizational skills.
