Senior Lecturer (Teaching And Scholarship) In Property Law
The School of Law is internationally recognised for pursuing high quality research across all areas of Law and delivering excellent teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students. To further strengthen our teaching portfolio, in line with our strategic objectives, the School wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in Property Law who can also, if needed, make a contribution to the teaching of undergraduates in one of the other qualifying law degree (QLD) areas.
A full time Teaching and Scholarship Senior Lecturer normally undertakes significantly more teaching and administrative duties than colleagues on a Teaching and Research contract, but there will be no research obligations.
SENIOR LECTURER LEVEL
We expect evidence of engagement in subject and pedagogic research, evidence of teaching excellence and a proven track record in designing and developing programmes, evidence of providing academic leadership to those teaching on programmes and the ability to mentor junior members of staff, and the ability to undertake a substantial administrative role.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. As we are committed to the principles of the Race Equality Charter Mark, we would particularly welcome applications from the black and minority ethnic (BME) community who are currently under-represented at this level in this area. All appointments will be made on merit.
