This two-year NIHR Systematic Reviews Fellowship offers an excellent opportunity for a highly talented candidate to undertake a fully-funded MSc degree and a tailored training programme, leading to a career at the interface of computer science and health services research/epidemiology. The successful candidate will join the Bristol Appraisal and Review of Research (BARR) group within the Centre for Research Synthesis and Decision Analysis (CReSyDA) at the Population Health Sciences department of Bristol Medical School. The department is one of the UK’s leading centres for research in population health sciences, and we are particularly renowned for our work on research synthesis. The successful candidate will learn, develop and apply methods for semi-automating systematic reviews, using machine learning and/or other computational or text mining approaches. It is anticipated that the candidate will undertake full-time study for an MSc in computer science, epidemiology or medical statistics in the first year, and contribute to research projects in the second year.
