Job Description

Primarily responsible for data management, quality control, and statistical analysis of data from Pregnancy Study Online (PRESTO), Snart Gravid/Snart Foraeldre (SG/SF), and the Study of Environment, Lifestyle, and Fibroids (SELF) at the Boston University School of Public Health. Additional responsibilities will include completing IRB applications, updating study protocols and manuals, drafting progress reports, protocol and analysis documentation, and manuscript preparation. Assistance with grant writing may also be required. The Data Analyst will primarily use SAS statistical software to perform analyses. The Data Analyst be critical to ensuring the timely presentation and publication of results from the PRESTO, SG/SF, and SELF studies.

Required Skills

Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or biostatistics Demonstrated skill using SAS, Access, Excel, and data management to support the analysis project Analytic experience and statistical knowledge to use perform descriptive statistics, stratification, and multivariable regression (linear, log-binomial, and Cox) using SAS Experience with multiple imputation, spline regression, inverse probability weighting, and measurement error correction. Solid background in epidemiology. Extensive knowledge of study design, questionnaire design and development, and methodological issues related to bias and confounding. Experience writing and publishing scientific manuscripts as co-author Desire to work independently to deliver work of the highest quality
