Enquiries and Communications Assistant
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised, creative and enthusiastic Enquiries and Communications Assistant to join a specialist team in the Library. The successful candidate will work in a team dealing with a broad range of enquiries from students, staff and visitors both face-to-face and virtually. They will deal with enquiries via the Library Help Point, live chat, email, phone and social media. Confidence in using these media would be essential. They will also be involved in promotions and communications online or in other media.
The service runs 9.00 – 6.00 Monday – Friday, and the appointed person will work until 6.00 p.m. at least once per week and occasional Saturdays.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as are flexibility, adaptability, team working and a calm and confident manner. You will be educated to at least A Level or equivalent standard, be passionate about customer service and have experience of working in a similar environment. Applications from people who are working towards a Library qualification would be particularly welcome.
